Is It Possible To Catch A Pc Virus On A Virtual Machine (xp Professional) Running On Vmware Fusion?
November 28th, 2009I am considering installing Norton or Kaspersky antivirus on my copy of windows running through vmware fusion, but am not sure if I need it as I have norton installed on my mac itself (So I dont accidentally infect my friends with PCs when I send them files). I am using the same connection as my mac to connect to the internet (its the default setting) and am wondering if it is still neccesary to provide additional protection in the windows partition. If you can answer my question or have any other useful additional information please respond, it would be a great help.
If You Use Apps Like Vmware Fusion And Parallels Will Your Mac Get A Virus?
November 17th, 2009I’m using a mac and was thinking about getting something that could run windows because using boot camps are annoying, but they partition the hard disk so that the mac and windows is separate. I don’t think apps like vmware fusion and parallels does so, since they still run on the mac. So I was wondering if the mac would become prone to windows virus if I used those kind of apps.
