There are a few ways. One is to delete the files/dir where the guest OS is sitting. Some other options are,
In the vmware console, if the guest OS is listed on the Favorites sidebar, then right-click it, and select “Delete from Disk”. If your Favorites isn’t displaying then select “View-Favorites” or hit “F9″.
You can also select the guest OS and select “VM – Delete from Disk.”
This is assuming VMWare workstation. VMware Server would have similar instructions.
