I have a nice workstation setup, and I have vmware server.
I can have 4 different computers running with vmware,
How can I make bit torrent think that they are all different computers and have them download different pieces of the files
Not just share a download and then share it over the network.
I gest that my question is, how can I speed up bittorent download with more computers?

February 20th, 2010I currently have a bunch of virtual machines setup running on Vista w/ VMWare Workstation. If I switch my desktop to Ubuntu Linux using VMWare server can I copy my workstations over? So I don’t lose all the work and setup? Just wondering if the virtual machines that I have created on my windows box in workstation can be loaded onto a linux machine running vmware server?

I am trying to utilize the same software without having to purchase it again and again and a server is waaay to expensive.

Thoughts On Dual Booting & Virtual Machines?
December 3rd, 2009I’m a cs major and I’ve been a pc user since I’ve been using computers. I was thinking that for my next computer I’d get a mac desktop and dual boot windows on it. I never really considered running a virtual environment on the mac instead of partitioning and dual booting. What do you think? Which is a better option and why (without getting into the topic of which OS is better please…)? I don’t really know too much about dual booting and virtual environments so the more thorough the answer, the better. Thanks!
Problems With My Virtual Machines Ect.?
December 2nd, 2009Hi , I’ve been trying for weeks now to solve my problem.
I have a mac and i bought the sims 3 but it doesn’t run very fast. So i read some forums and they all said I should Install windows on my computer. I tried several things but nothing works.
I installed VMware a virtual machine but when I tried to play the sims 3 I got an error that I didn’t have a videocard wich I do.
Then with bootcamp I hated that I had to reboot my computer and now I tried to install virtual pc , but everytime I try to start the program I get an unknown error. It’s driving my crazy. i really want to play the sims 3 smooth on my computer.
Does anyone have a sollution ?

November 20th, 2009i have installed vmware workstation and created virtual machines and aslo installed xp. later i found that the folder of virtual machines was empty. so i deleted the folder. i searched for .vmx files, but didnt find anything in my computer.
since then my laptop is very slow, so to make its speed normal i want to uninstall workstation. please help, what can i do ? and wiil that xp get uninstalled if it is there inside?
