I’m currently running Ubuntu 7.10. I have VMWare Server installed with Server2003 and XP SP2 as my virtual machines. Is it possible to copy those virtual machine images in the VMWare folders and transfer them to another system? Windows or Linux based.

January 19th, 2010I have heard about the “Fedora Core 7 (x86) Desktop” being downloaded and run using the “VMware player”.
What is this done for? Does it allow us to run Linux on Windows XP?
And how is the term “virtual machine” connected here?

December 15th, 2009Which Linux build should I install? Some background info, I’m fairly tech savy, I have a general knowledge of both Windows and Mac OS, since about 1995. This will be my first Linux OS, and I will be running on my MacBook Pro as a virtual machine.
