How does a virtual computer send and recieve data with its own IP address while also sharing it’s host’s IP address? How does the router know that messages meant for 192.168.0.10 must go to 192.168.0.11 to be delivered?

How Does The Vmware Workstation / Esx Snapshot Feature Compare With Other Competing Vm Products?
December 19th, 2009From a software engineering point of view, I find the ability to take multiple snapshot and move between very useful. I was wondering whether anyone had experience with other VM products such as Virtuozzo or Parallels. I know MS Virtual Server can only do single snapshots, my impression is Virtuozzo seems to be aimed more at the datacentre / HA market.

Why Does My Mouse Freeze Constantly In Mac 0s 9?
December 8th, 2009Here’s my situation: I prefer PCs, but I have to use a Mac at my job. Our budget is frozen, and we cannot afford extra memory or OS X. Unfortunately, my mouse is frozen, too!
Lately, my computer has been freezing, but only after I perform a task requiring excessive scrolling on a page or moving my mouse around quickly. Upping the virtual memory helped temporarily, but now I’m maxed out. I still have about 40 mb free on the hard drive, though, and I deleted about every unecessary program and file I had on this machine.
Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the problem to surface, and sometimes it’s immediate. Sometimes it’s just the mouse that freezes, and sometimes it’s the whole system, requiring a reboot.
The mouse flashes a red light when it freezes. The seldomly appearing error prompt says the computer does not have enough power (which isn’t true, as the keyboard works).
Any thoughts? I’d be much obliged.
