I’ve installed vmware workstatioin on my vista and now then installed win xp and fedora… both operating systems don’t see my external usb drive… what to do? any help??

Does Microsoft Virtual Server Support A Virtual Machine Made By Vmware Workstation V5?
January 28th, 2010The virtual machine converter from VMware will go from Microsoft virtual machine to VMware, but not the other way around.
There are some tricks to convert the virtual hard drive over to Microsoft Virtual Server, but here is the catch.
Microsoft and VMware virtualize different hardware configurations, so depending on the operating system inside of the image you may have difficulty getting the machine to boot properly.
If you are trying to convert the images from the application vault one way to do it is use a tool to mount the images as a drive on your machine, then use that drive to create the virtual server machine image.

January 12th, 2010I mostly work on vmwares (virtual machines). Sometimes when I am multi tasking my virtual machines lags, that is my mouse sometimes freezes and the windows on my guest OS lags and freezes too. And I might consider upgrading a graphics card (I have none right now) if it will boost the performance of my virtual machines. Will graphics cards boosts the performance of the virtual machines? And if it will what significant changes will it do to the performance of my virtual machines and the host OS too?

like vmware stuff or virtual pc thing… but vmware broke off the internet connection on the browser appliance and virtual pc needs a bootable disk that i don’t have…. any suggestions?

anything that can use ms-dos 5.0 or higher and cd-rom capable so that i can use my quake i bought and can’t use on XP….
virtual pc’s seem to be my only choice but like i said i’ve had two bad experiences…
