I’m looking to build a PC which will mainly be used for browsing the internet, instant messaging, occasional gaming, video encoding, running virtual machines, possibly some server related software such as Apache or MySQL and maybe some school applications involving design work.
Coming from a Mac, I’m not too familiar with the process of choosing the correct components etc.
My budget is about £650 including a monitor and a keyboard (not a mouse). I don’t mind if it’s AMD or Intel, and I’d preferably like to have a powerful processor and room in terms of the power supply and the case and motherboard for SLI or CrossFire in the future.
