VM ware is a software on which you can load your own operating system.
It is like an OS within a OS
Like you may install vmware on your windows
and then install linux ,etc on your vmware ,
they (Linux etc )will individually run in there own world, as if they are independent OS.
It is mainly used for testing purposes, to run projects which may otherwise potentiallly damage your system.
The name “VMware” comes from the acronym “VM”, meaning “virtual machine”,

vmware creates virtual machines i.e. it appears as there are more than one pcs on a single phisical machine.
Each virtual machine has it’s own memory ,hard disk and cpu all of which are virtual
An app to install virtual operating systems. Very good for testing and can be used as an actual desktop as well.
