I Can’t See Other Network Places When Using Vmware . Why?

February 23rd, 2010 Leave a reply »

I can map the network and see the PC who host VMware,
I can even see Windows 2003 network places (using VMware). So basically I see both but I can’t see my PC in my bedroom.
Is VMware limited when it comes to map network drive with a virtual OS?? Thank you.

No its not, are you using NATing or does the VMware system have its own IP address?
my guess is that you are using NATing and if so that would be why you cannot see anything that you cannot see anything except what you have on the system that has the virtual machine
