I have a complete home network, and i always travel with a notebook and mobile broadband access. i can take complete control over my systems remotely, and i’ve got a couple macs, some windows server machines, a windows home server machine, and some virtual machines doing various stuff. im curious about what the best way would be for me to utilize my optimum voice service to make telephone calls from my laptop while im away from my my home. i use prepaid cell and its 10 cents a minute; not expensive but im liberal with my conversations so i feel as though i might as well try to take the time to do this. i assume i could just remote into windows or macos, start a dialer program, and then possibly then link with a bluetooth headset in some way? or maybe theres a better way?
