I’ve got Norton Internet Security 08 and want to install it on my MacBook for the Windows Xp running as a virtual machine. Do i just put the disk in and it will work only on Xp or will it mess up Mac OS X?

It’s won’t mess up OSX. Just be sure to open it on the XP side.
PS- Norton makes crappy software. It is bulky, takes up a lot of the processor/RAM, and doesn’t do much. I recommend Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. It is free and does a great job of catching stuff Norton ignores/doesn’t catch.
Open XP in VMWare and then install it using XP.(yes just insert disk once XP is running). It will not affect your OSX install. You definately need the Nortons since your installed Windows. You’ve opened yourself to all the Windows viruses trojans & malaware.
